This chapter on Children and Young People with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities should be read in conjunction with the People with Learning Disabilities chapter and the Autism chapter of this JSNA. Each country in the UK has its own statutory provisions and systems to identify and support children and young people with disabilities and learning difficulties.
